My First Few Days

Hey Everyone. Look at me. On the internet. BLOGGING! Cliche I am aware, but its a great way to keep everyone abreast of my very exciting life!

The trip here was hella long. I've discovered over the past few years that being away from all my animals at home has made me allergic to them when I am home. SO, after the first couple days home I just got scratchy and a little phlegmy...Then it turned into a full blown sore throat cough headache thing that I've had for about 4 days now. Normally, I wouldnt say much, but it sucked driving 14 hours in a car being sick and grumpy and so on and so forth. It also sucked moving in and carrying all that shit up a flight of stairs while hacking up a lung and blah.

My apt. Is BEAUTIFUL. (Thank you Ross!). Pictures to follow. I love it. Its spacious (even with all of Ross' stuff still here!), its well lit, lots of cross breeze and I can spit to parliment...Maybe I'll nail Harper! It is a city of 1 Million, which was making me a bit nervous as we drove in last night, but today I realized that 1 million isnt so big after all. We were at the Metro getting groceries, and who do I see as we are driving away??? JILL PROUDFOOT...now I knew she was in Ottawa, but really? Day 1? First place I leave my apt to go to? REALLY?! Awesome.

In other news, while Dad was out getting bread and milk this morning early before I even woke up, he made a wrong turn down a one way street and the ass end of the truck was nailed by a city bus! WHOA! He's fine, and the truck is quite dented, but it'll be ok. But really. Again. Day 1.  Hit by a bus! As I type he is playing on the Wii, and I am in my wonderful bedroom playing on the newly installed internet.

It strikes me at this moment that I feel like Julie Powell. The inner monologue thing suits me well. For those of you who havent seen Julie and Julia. Dont. Its a terrible movie, but it has a blogging storyline, so I feel like I'm in it.

I'm going to go, but I hope you all keep reading this, to keep up to date on my life. I miss everyone from Acadia and beyond, but I'll be home in October for a stretch, so i'll keep you posted.
